It is amazing to walk into Mrs. Brandon's First Grade classroom. During their reading time, the students rotate through different centers, most of which involve the use of technology. At one center, the students are using the slate with the Promethean Board to write words, review words, read passages, and engage in vocabulary enrichment. Mrs. Brandon is teaching her students to be tech savvy and learn at the same time!

Each year, our school has a very special day to celebrate the importance of taking care of our environment. Environmental Day is like a mini-conference just for students. Presents from the community volunteer their time to teach the students about the environmenta and what they can do to help our Earth. The students rotate room to room to visit the presenters. Every session is designed to reinforce science standards. The students have a GREAT time learning!
