Pleasant Hill Elementary began in August of 2000. Prior to that time the school existed as Deep Creek Elementary. After Pleasant Hill High and Choppee High Schools merged the Pleasant Hill High building was renovated for elementary students.

Deep Creek Back in the Day...

Since its inception, Deep Creek Elementary had five principals; Mrs. Pauline Lawrence, Mrs. Mabel D. McKnight, Mr. Don Swett, Mr. Jerry Hughes, and Mrs. Ella Edwards. Pleasant Hill Elementary has had three principals, Mrs. Ella Edwards, Dr. Timothy Carnahan, and Mr. W. Teddy Graham.
