Anthony Blair signed to play football for the North Greenville University Crusaders located in Tigerville, SC.
Caleb Hughes signed to play football with the Limestone College Saints located in Gaffney, SC. The Saints will play their first football game in the history of the school in September of 2014.
Alvin Walker signed to play football for the Saint Augustine's University Falcons located in Raleigh, NC.

***Bulldogs Outlast Tigers***
In a rare Thursday night game for the Bulldogs, Georgetown rode a big offensive second quarter, scoring 28 points, to hold off the Wilson Tigers 49-42 at Florence District Stadium. The Bulldogs finished 3rd in Region VII-AAA and will travel to Bennettsville this Friday night (11/2/12) at 7:30 to face the Marlboro County Bulldogs in the first round of the playoffs. The hometown Bulldogs would appreciate all the support they can get Friday so make plans to travel to Bennettsville to cheer on YOUR....GEORGETOWN BULLDOGS!!!

***Turnovers Doom Bulldogs***
Myrtle Beach blocked a first quarter punt deep in Georgetown territory and the ball rolled out of the back of the end zone for a safety giving the Seahawks a 2-0 lead with 3:40 left in the first quarter. With the Bulldogs unable to sustain any drives on offense, they go on to drop a key region VII-AAA game and fall to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference for the season.
Georgetown travels to Florence to face the Wilson Tigers this Thursday night (10/25/12) with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 and a chance to take secure third place in the region and a spot in the playoffs. Plan on making the short trip to Florence Memorial Stadium Thursday night and support YOUR Georgetown Bulldogs!

***Georgetown Unable To Match Braves Offense***
The Bulldog offense made too many mistakes to keep up with the Socastee offense. After Georgetown scored a touchdown to tie the score at 14 early in the second quarter, they could not get on the board again and lost their first region game of the season.
Georgetown hosts Myrtle Beach this Friday night (10/19/12) with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 and a chance to take sole possession of second place in Region VII-AAA. Join us at 5:30 before the game for tailgating including lots of food and fun. It is also Senior Night so let's show all of our Seniors a ton of support as they play, what could be, the last home of their high school careers.

***Georgetown Defense Overwhelms N. Myrtle Beach***
The Bulldog defense completely dismantled the Chiefs to push their record to 2-0 in the region. While the defense was stuffing North Myrtle Beach, the Bulldog offense scored 21 second quarter points and went on to win by a final score of 34-7.
Georgetown travels to Socastee to play for sole possession of first place in Region VII-AAA next Friday night (10/12/12) with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30. Let's send a HUGE crowd to Braves Stadium and show them what Bulldog pride is all about.

***Bulldogs Open Region Play With Win***
Georgetown racked up 428 yards of offense for the game and only gave up six points in the second half to take the victory against region foe St. James, 35-20.
Georgetown goes on the road Friday to North Myrtle Beach for a big region matchup with the Chiefs. The Bulldogs need all the support they can get so show up loud and proud and help lead them to another big win!

***Bulldog Defense Dominates Loris***
After giving up a special teams touchdown on the opening kick-off, the Georgetown defense held the Lions to only four first downs and 103 total yards for the game. Down 7-0 fifteen seconds into the game, the Bulldog offense went to work scoring 24 points in the first half and never looked back, winning by a final margin of 24-14 .
Way to go Bullldogs, great game!!!

****Bulldogs Lose to Bears****
Carvers Bay recovered a fumble and returned it 11 yards for a touchdown with only five minutes left in the game to take a 20-14 lead. Georgetown drove down to the Bears 15 yard line with only a minute and a half left but Carvers Bay intercepted a tipped pass to seal the victory.

***Bulldogs Get Big Win Over James Island***
Georgetown's defense was dominant most of the night as they held the Trojans to only 165 yards of total offfense for the game. The Bulldog offense scored 14 points in the first half and that was all they would need as they go on to record a 14-8 win.
Georgetown travels to Carvers Bay next Friday night (9/14/12) with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30. Let's paint Big Bear stadium Blue and Gray and come out loud and proud and support your Georgetown Bulldogs!

***Bulldogs Steamroll the Yellow Jackets***
Georgetown welcomed a great crowd for the season opener as they rolled to 353 yards rushing and handed Andrews a 44-0 pummeling Friday night. The Bulldogs extended their lead to 30-0 at the half by scoring 24 points in the second quarter and were never threatened. The Dawg defense was outstanding in delivering their first shutout of the season.
Georgetown hosts the James Island trojans this Friday night (9/7/12) at 7:30, so get behind your team and come out loud and proud and support your Georgetown Bulldogs!

***Bulldogs Can't Slow Down Tigers***
The Conway offense was too much for Georgetown as the Tigers outscored them 42-25 Friday night. The Bulldogs scored a touchdown late in the first quarter and had an opportunity to tie the game with a successful PAT. But the Bulldogs failed to convert and were forced to settle for a 7-6 score. On the ensuing kick-off, the Tigers returned the kick all the way back for a TD and never looked back after that.
The Bulldogs have an open date next Friday giving them two weeks to prepare for their home opener against the Andrews Yellow Jackets Friday, August 31, at 7:30. Come out and support your Georgetown Bulldogs and help cheer them to victory.
***2012 GHS BULLDOG SEASON KICK-OFF SERVICE***
The 1st Annual GHS Bulldog Football Season Kick-Off Service Sunday night was a HUGE success! The players and coaches all had a great time and enjoyed all of the delicious food. Thank you to all of the guest speakers, Dr. Randy Dozier-District Superintendant, Craig Evans-Principal, John Rickenbacker-Fellowship of Christian Athletes Area Director, and Pastor Lonnie Brazell for the inspiring words and heartfelt prayers spoken over the entire football team. Thanks to all of the parents and fans that came out in support of the young men and a special thank you to all of the folks at Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church for hosting this fantastic event! What a GREAT way to "Kick-Off" the 2012 Season!
